This project for a well renowned plastic surgeon combines artistry and functionality, by creating a serene and healing environment for his patients. We employed the principles of color theory and worked with a specialist on the subject to help create an exceptional atmosphere in the operating room, recovery room and exam rooms. Blue lights have been strategically incorporated throughout the space, as blue is known for its calming and soothing properties. This choice of lighting not only creates a tranquil ambiance but also helps to reduce anxiety and stress. From the reception area to the Central Park facing consultation rooms, our goal was to create a harmonious and inviting environment that instills confidence and comfort while making sure we create the best programmatic room layouts both in terms of circulaction as well as in number of exam/treatment rooms to maximize the practices ability to see as many patients as possible while simultaneously maintaining a commercially luxurious environment.
